INVESTIGATING GRAMMATICAL PROBLEMS FACED BY THE SEVENTH SEMESTER STUDENTS OF STKIP ABDI PENDIDIKAN PAYAKUMBUH IN WRITING INTRODUCTION CHAPTER OF RESEARCH PROPOSAL

This research aims to analyze grammatical problems faced by the seventh semester students of STKIP Abdi Pendidikan Payakumbuh in writing introduction chapter proposal. The also determines caused those problems. 50 involved study. study showed that had proposal, exactly tenses 293 (37.66%). students’ is overgeneralization. Dealing with way lecturer teaching grammar, it was found grammar strategy still inappropriate. Thus, suggested English use various strategies make master before starting writing.
